Wisconsin 60 Corridor Study

From Dan Dupies, Project Planner (414-847-0206)

I’m pleased to tell you that we had very good attendance at our June 20th public meeting in Jackson and last night’s meeting in Grafton. Our thanks to the Village of Jackson and Grafton for the meeting venues that they provided. We are just beginning the process of reviewing comments we received at both meetings and the notes we took. I’m sure that for the next week or two, comment sheets will be sent to WisDOT. We will develop separate meeting minutes for each meeting. It is our plan to send all PAC members a copy of each set of minutes after Beth has approved them.

Please let me know if you would like hard copy maps of the alternatives in your community. My plan would be to send you pieces of the displays we used at the two meetings. You should also know that all exhibits displayed at the meetings are available at the project website.

In the coming months, the project team will begin the challenging task of screening alternatives and refining those that are carried forward. It is vitally important that we have a letter from your community stating your thoughts about the preliminary range of alternatives. Your community input in addition to study area residents’ input will be used to help us make screening decisions. Please share whatever information you think the project team should know/consider in moving to the next step in the alternatives development/refinement process. Know that your letters, which should be sent to Beth Blum, will be included in the project’s environmental document.

As I noted at both meetings, we plan on meeting with the PAC to share the results of our first screening step in fall of this year. If you have any questions about my request or the project in general, please ring me at the number below or contact Beth at 262-548-8644. Thank you.
