Water and Wastewater

The Utility provides water supply and wastewater treatment services to all Village residents and businesses. The Utility is responsible for:
  • Operating and maintaining of the water distribution system and wastewater collection system
  • Billing and collections for water and wastewater services
  • Providing customer service
  • Providing bulk water supply and septage receiving services to persons and companies both within and outside the Village limits
Staffing
The Village of Grafton water supply and wastewater treatment systems are a combined public utility. The Utility currently employs 9.75 permanent employees including a Utility Superintendent, a Programs Coordinator, seven Utility Operators, a 0.25 FTE Director of Public Works, a 0.25 FTE Utility Clerk and a 0.25 FTE Office Assistant. These personnel are responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, supervision and administration of the Utility and its water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Regular Office Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
After hours emergency assistance from Water Utility can be obtained by calling the Utility Office at (262) 375-5330.

The after hours message will direct the caller to contact the Grafton Police Department (262) 375-5320. The Police Department will, in turn, contact and dispatch the after hours on-call Utility Operator to respond.
